CASA Day at the Capital

March 16th is the CASA Day at the Capital.  Each year CASA programs go to the capital and meet with our representatives. This is an opportunity that CASA takes to let those who set policy know about the needs of the children we serve. You are invited to come to the capital and meet with legislators.  We are still in the planning stages but the information I have now is the event would be from 8:00am-12:00pm.  We meet in the morning with CASA lobbies who while orientate us to the day.  The CASA in Colorado office can set up with individual meetings with our representatives who we haven’t met with yet.
What I need to know from you is if you are interested in attending.  Once I know who would like to come I will make arrangements for setting up meetings and possible carpooling as needed.   Please let Kathy know by March 3rd if you want to participate.  kathyr@www.mtncasa.org

Activity for Your Kids
You can watch together or suggest your assigned child watch Tracy Beaker, a 20 minute children’s show about a 10-year-old foster girl who comes off as having “behavioral problems” by adults, but she tells stories of her mother being a Hollywood star who is busy making films, which is why she can not visit her daughter.  This is a British show that can be found on you tube.
