This Webinar from Pathways RTC will present data on how the depleted social networks among youth aging out of foster care combined with the sudden ending of formal relationships at age 18 contributes to housing insecurity/homelessness among this group. Childhood Adversity Narratives
The purpose of this resource is to help inform policy makers and the public about the cost and consequences of child maltreatment and adversity. Its goal is to show that there are proven interactions and opportunities to change these personally tragic and socially costly outcomes.
Understanding the Effects of Maltreatment on Brain Development
This issue brief from Child Welfare Information Gateway provides basic information on brain development and the effects of abuse and neglect on that development. The information is designed to help professionals understand the emotional, mental, and behavioral impact of early abuse and neglect in children who come to the attention of the child welfare system.
June Lunchtime Learning: Child and Adolescent Therapy
The Summit County Lunchtime Learning is returning. Our next event will be on Wednesday, June 24th at 12:00pm in the Ten Mile Room of the Medical Office Building on the hospital campus in Frisco.
